- Usage and Telemetry Data: We utilize Firebase Analytics to capture high-signal crash reports, performance metrics, and feature utilization rates. This includes Device OS, hardware model, and anonymized session durations.
- Advertising Identifiers (AAID): To serve relevant advertisements, we collect your device's unique advertising identifier.
- Local State Data: Application preferences, user-generated configurations, and core topic databases are stored strictly locally on your device via Room/DataStore and are not transmitted to our servers.
2. Third-Party Integrations and Monetization
We partner with industry-standard third-party providers who may collect and process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies:
- Google AdMob: Serves dynamic display, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements. AdMob may utilize your IP address, AAID, and contextual signals to provide targeted ads.
- Google Firebase: Provides crashlytics and remote configuration delivery mechanisms.
3. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA Compliance)
Subject to applicable law, you possess the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Access: You may request disclosure of the specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you.
- Right to Deletion: You may request the deletion of your personal data from our active telemetry systems. Note that clearing local app data via Android system settings will erase all locally stored data.
- Right to Opt-Out: You may opt-out of targeted advertising by resetting your device's Advertising ID or disabling personalized ads within your Android system settings.
4. Data Retention and Security
We retain telemetry and crash data strictly for the period necessary to debug and improve the Service, generally not exceeding 90 days. We employ rigorous operational security measures, including SSL encryption for all network transmissions, to protect your data against unauthorized access.
